Understanding

If you invade the country of a people, take their land and build settlements for your own people. If you mock the people and make them pass checkposts, with rules that change every minute, several times every day. If you let them wait at these checkposts for hours, and sometimes just to irritate them, don't let them pass at all. If you treat the people like dirt and make it impossible for them to live normal lives. If you shoot their children, just for throwing some stones. If you kill several innocent people every single time you try to take out someone you believe to be a terrorist. If you sometimes come with bulldozers to their villages and destroy entire houses. If you build a wall of nine metres high, not on the border, but deep into the people's land. If this wall seperates entire families and villages and people on the wrong side of the wall are no longer able to earn a living. If you oppress the people in any way you can.....

Do you really expect this people to keep quit and do nothing? Do you really believe they won't fight back with any means necessary? Don't you think you might probably do the same if you would ever end up in such a situation and become as desperate as they are? Don't you think every action leads to a reaction?

If you kill several innocent people every single time a suecide bomber blows himself up. If you don't try to put a stop to these attacks. If you fill the hearts of the people with fear and dread.....

Do you really expect the people will be sympathatic with you and turn on their goverment? Do you really believe they won't try to stop these attacks with any means necessary? Don't you think you might probably do the same if your people was in their place? Don't you think every action leads to a reaction?


---- I'm trying very hard to stay objective about this conflict and I'm trying not to take sides. But I somehow just can't understand how the Israeli people and Jews in general, who have gone through so much throughout history can do this to another people. Those who have undergone it are now doing it to another, and that just doesn't make any sense to me. It seems like humans just never learn from history...
